Dmitry Zaporozhets, Deputy Chief of the International Treaty Directorate of the Main Department of International Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian, was born on June 5, 1968 in the Ukraine. Education: 1990 – Military College, 1997 – Military Academy, 2001 – Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
1990-1998 – served in command and engineering positions in the Special Control Service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Participator of the development and testing of new automated systems for monitoring nuclear weapons tests, participator of the development of the thematic documents and in negotiations on the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Agreement, the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Common Arms Control and Syrian Issues. The military rank «Сolonel» was awarded in 2003.
Prof. Marie Isabelle Chevrier is a Ph.D. in Public Policy, Harvard University with Dissertation: “The Biological and Toxin Weapons Arms Control Regime: Is It the Best Way to Minimize the Risk of Biological or Toxin Weapon Use?”. Now She is a Professor of Public Policy and Political Economy (Assosiate Professor 1997-2009) Assistant Professor 1991-1997), Director, Masters in Public Policy Program (2007-present) Coordinator of the Masters’ in Public Affairs Program (1999-2002), Associate Program Chair in Public Policy and Political Economy (2007-present) Honors Faculty 2008-present. School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences, University of Texas at Dallas. Faculty member in the programs in Public Policy and Political Economy, Political Science and Public Affairs. Administrative responsibilities for the MPP program (2007-present) and the MPA program (1999-2002). She already has published 4 books since 2004 untill 2017, and has plenty of journal articles published and got many honors and awards such as Editorial Advisory Board, Politics and the Life Sciences from 2001-2014. She also has been invited for presentations and conference participationin many conferences. One of her latest conference was “Milestones in the History of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)” Conference of States Parties to the OPCW, November 2017.
Lijun Shang is an international lecturer in Medical Science at School of Chemistry and Biosciences, University of Bradford. He is also a senior academic visitor to Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics, University of Oxford, and a visiting Professor to Northwest University, China. During the past two decades, his researches primarily focus on structural and functional studies on ion channel in health and diseases and their physical and mathematical interfaces. Recently this interest is developed onto evaluating the potential toxic effects of nanoparticles, including chemical agents, on human health and diseases, with particularly interests in understanding the underlying mechanism of these effects. Over the last 3 years, Dr Shang has worked with his colleagues, Dr Michael Crowley and Professor Malcolm Dando, at University of Bradford as co-editor of the book: “Preventing Chemical Weapons: Arms Control and Disarmament as the Sciences Converge”, published by the Royal Society of Chemistry, Unite Kingdom.
Dr. Sudhir Kumar Mishra ,Distinguished Scientist & Director General (BrahMos), DRDO, Ministry of Defence and CEO&MD, BrahMos Aerospace, an India-Russia Joint Venture, is a Graduate of Government Engineering College, Jabalpur, M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and Ph.D. from National Institute of Technology, Warangal. He has contributed immensely in India’s quest to achieve excellence in Missile technologies. He is academician of Russian Academy of Cosmonautics and awarded with Honorary Doctorate by People’s University, Bhopal and Fellow of Aeronautical Society of India, Institution of Engineers (India), the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Indian Institution of Production Engineers and Centre for Excellence in Project Management, New Delhi. He is a member of many national and international professional societies. He has been awarded with the “DRDO Scientist of the Year Award” by the Prime Minister of India, “Distinguished Alumnus Award-2018” by IIT, Madras, IIM-TATA Gold Medal Award by Indian Institute of Metals, Kolkata, “Madhya Pradesh Gaurav Samman” by Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, “Distinguished Alumni Award” by Government Engineering College, Jabalpur, “Super CEO Award” by The Machinist, Times of India Group, “Vigyan Pratibha Samman” by Council of Science & Technology, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh“, “Life Time Achievement Award” by Sriram College of Engineering & Technology, Jabalpur.
